Fiam Care

Fiam, the people at the centre and a lot of attention around them

The company has always thought that its most important resources are human resources. Today, the figures confirm this, and the workers have already received the 2021 performance bonus.

There are technological solutions, of course, but also, and above all, there is a human element. Moreover, the brand speaks clearly: people and solutions. Two words that for Fiam, a company specialising in industrial tightening systems and air motors, are not just a motto, but express the two spirits of which it is composed.  It is no coincidence that the perfect synergy between the people working in the company and the solutions offered on the market has been the key to closing 2021 with significant growth, making it possible to give the bonus in advance to thank those who made these results possible in a concrete way.

In fact, during the months of pandemic, the employees have shown a great ability to adapt, without ever lowering their commitment. So the company thought it right not only to reward them economically, but also to support them with targeted initiatives to increase their working well-being.

In the last year, therefore, flexible measures, vocational training and psychological support have been fostered.  First, by encouraging smart working to help balance private life and work.  At the same time, more than 200,000 Euro and almost 6,000 hours of training were invested to help people further their skills.  Moreover, psychological help was provided to address pandemic-related difficulties properly by learning psychophysical relaxation techniques.

This has also had a beneficial impact on the company’s results, allowing 70% of the performance bonus to be brought forward to the end of 2021. The words of Managing Director Luigi Bacchetta confirm this growth: “It was a positive year, especially considering the pandemic, and the time we are living through makes the record figures achieved even more impressive.” Figures that show +44% turnover compared to 2020, and +23% compared to 2019. But exports also rose by +49% compared to 2020, with sales in 60 foreign countries.  Given this data, it seemed only right to bring forward part of the performance bonus.  Bacchetta continues: “We found ourselves with very positive economic results at the end of the year, so we thought it was right to pay 70% of the bonus right now, without waiting for June 2022.”

The road ahead is clear, and it is just a question of following it in the future, perhaps with new people. Bacchetta confirms that 10 new people have been hired: “They are involved in various sectors. Many are young men and women, but new resources will soon bring further improvements from every point of view.” Improvements that mean the ability to be more competitive in international markets, from Europe to the United States and even China and Japan, but also to provide every employee with a rewarding work environment and opportunities for personal growth.
