TPU-M1 MONITORING UNIT WITH AUTO POWER ON

TPU-M1 monitoring unit represents a great innovation able to monitoring and managing all tools functionalities. It works with eTensil electric brushless screwdrivers and nutrunner motors with automatic shut-off and mechanical clutch. This sophisticated instrument, designed and industrialised by Fiam, that not only provides the tools with the correct power supply, but also features a large number of very useful functions that can be programmed quickly, easily and intuitively.

AUTO POWER ON FUNCTIONALITY: With the additional AutoPowerOn functionality, when the line receives electrical power, the unit turns on automatically, without manual intervention by the operator. An advantage that simplifies the process and increases the efficiency of automatic lines.
The TPU-M1 unit with AutoPowerOn functionality is ideal for tightening automation, for example when eTensil solutions are used in MCA automatic tightening modules or when remotely controlled eTensil nutrunners motors are used on the production line.

BASIC FUNCTIONS: here are some of them, essentials to monitoring a tightening process correctly and making it reliable.

• It automatically recognizes the tool connected and configures themselves immediately to its parameters, so operators cannot make initial setup errors
• Displays: OK/NOK status, tightening time value and angle value.
• Screws counting: this function turns the system into an effective Poka Yoke device
• It detects process anomalies, for example stripped threads or screws already tightened
• Store up to 99 tightening operations
• It communicates with the outside: the PLC or other devices on the assembly line (such as accessory selectors, positioning jigs, etc.) and can be managed remotely
• It solves tightening situations with critical joints, for example with flexible gaskets, or components made of rubber or other materials

PROGRAMMING SMART PRO EVO, other functions can be activated/deactivated acting directly on the unit:

PRE-SELF UNTIGHTENING: it is possible to set the untightening angle and the pause between the untightening and the subsequent tightening. This strategy finds its application in the electrical / electronic field, for example when it is necessary to open and then close connectors to insert electrical wires (see video 1)

POST-SELF UNTIGHTENING: the untightening angle is settable as well as the time pause of left rotation start after the tightening end (see video 2)

STOP-BY-TIME TIGHTENING: to tighten in depth and not to defined torque, by controlling the cycle with set tightening time. When it is necessary to tighten threaded fasteners to a certain height and not to a defined torque. This is made by checking the tightening time (see video 3)
