Advanced interconnectivity for the smart factory
The eTensil Ethernet Module is a device designed by Fiam for the interconnectivity of eTensil tightening systems. It provides access to tightening logs via Ethernet connection, enabling seamless integration with major enterprise information systems such as ERP, MES, and platforms dedicated to monitoring and collecting production data.
Thanks to the RS‑232 serial port connection, the device communicates with eTensil control units: TPU‑C1, TPU‑C3, TPU‑A3, and TPU‑M1, making stored data available through a server service with REST API interface, a software standard designed to facilitate data exchange between IT systems.
The module can be periodically queried by the customer’s IT systems to retrieve stored tightening data.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The tightening data request from the REST client (customer ERP/MES) is performed by sending a GET REST request to the eTensil Ethernet Module. The device responds via a REST API response with a file in standard JSON format.

FEATURES
- Immediate connection
Via serial port with eTensil units TPU‑C1 / TPU‑C3 / TPU‑A3 / TPU‑M1 - Capacity
Transmits up to the latest 100 tightening logs: once this limit is reached, the system continues to record new data by progressively overwriting the oldest. For this reason, it is recommended to set a polling frequency that ensures retention of all required information. - Simple and intuitive management via integrated Web Server for:
- configuring network parameters
- viewing the JSON file provided by the device, containing 17 data items, such as:
- Cycle result OK/NOK
- Final torque in Nm
- Final angle
- Final time
- Tightening cycle ID
- Date and time
- Error codes
- updating the device
- Complete package
Supplied with a 1 m RS232 serial cable for quick and universal connection, as well as a power supply complete with cable.
APPLICATIONS
Demanding industrial manufacturing sectors: electronics (electronic devices, printed circuit board assembly), as well as medical device production, molding, metal components, and household appliances.
Industry 4.0 environments, where interconnection between devices and systems is essential to improve traceability, efficiency, and production quality.
Industrial assembly lines using eTensil tightening systems that require centralized collection of tightening results.
