Innovation in Motion: Fiam’s project with IUAV University
“Innovation in Motion: Designing the Industrial Screwdriver of the Future.”
This is the title of the Workshop that brought the students from Vicenza, Italy, of the IUAV University of Venice to visit Fiam on Monday, February 19.
The main objective of the Workshop for students of the Bachelor of Design was their training as future designers and, in the case of the project with Fiam, an invitation to join a creative challenge: to design an industrial screwdriver starting from its basic technological components.
The workshop, which for the students lasted a total of five days under the guidance of an industrial designer, began precisely with a company visit to our headquarters, allowing the students to get a close look at the company’s production departments and R&D Office.
The creative challenge involved them in proposing solutions to improve efficiency, functionality and ergonomics of screwdrivers.
At the conclusion of the Workshop on Friday, February 23, the students were then involved in exhibiting their projects.
Coordinated by Luca Casarotto and led by the designer Giampaolo Allocco – DELINEO design – the 4 teams of students exposed their proposals for an innovative design of a Fiam screwdriver.
Thanks to their enthusiastic approach and unconditional gaze, the students were able to approach our products with creativity, providing valuable insights.
We would like to thank the IUAV University of Venice for involving us in this exciting project and all the participants for their contributions and for putting their skills on the line!
