“Ergonomics applied to Industrial Assembly”: on October 17, a multidisciplinary conference on ergonomics in manufacturing companies

11 Sep. 2025
Fiam Ergonomy

On October 17, we will host a day entirely dedicated to ergonomics in industrial assembly at our headquarters in Vicenza, entitled “Ergonomics applied to Industrial Assembly. Scientific and technological innovations, the new frontiers of workstations and humanoid robotics.

The event, supported by Confindustria Vicenza and attended by its President, Dr. Barbara Beltrame Giacomello, was created with the aim of offering a broad, up-to-date, and multidisciplinary view on this topic, which is increasingly central to manufacturing companies.

The conference will be an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas, listen to distinguished speakers from the Italian academic and business worlds, and share visions, experiences, and concrete solutions for improving safety and quality of work, which are crucial aspects for industrial competitiveness. An updated focus on various areas related to ergonomics for the industrial sector will provide a comprehensive overview and an innovative vision on the topic.

The day’s work will also include the presentation of an important research project conducted by Fiam in collaboration with GymHub, a spin-off of the Department of Medicine at the University of Padua: Prof. Marco Bergamin, together with Nicola Bacchetta from Fiam and Dr. Davide Pavan, will illustrate the significant results of the applied research study on reaction arms used in the use of hand tools, which is currently being published in medical-scientific journals.

The study arose from the need to objectively assess the impact of reaction arms in reducing vibrations and counterblow transmitted to the operator’s hand-arm system, going beyond current regulatory guidelines, which recommend their use but do not provide measurable data on their effectiveness.

The program for the day, moderated by Simone Sinico, Head of Communications and Innovation at Confindustria Vicenza, reflects scientific and technological innovations, explores new frontiers in workstations and humanoid robotics, and aims to offer highly newsworthy and valuable content for the manufacturing world.
